Voice with Sinfonye

Voice have had a busy summer singing as part of early music group Sinfonye under Stevie Wishart. Sinfonye also performed in a new composition ‘Out of this World’ by Stevie with the BBC Singers in a Prom at Cadogan Hall given **** review in The Times by Hilary Finch “…they converged on stage with the six female singers of Sinfonye, whose sweet, raw, folk-influenced voices pealed out Hildegard’s long, long melodies in chant tinged by bare, spare harmony. They sang a selection from the Symphonia armonie celestium revelationum, giving joyful and robust energy to melismas which were exquisitely pitched and paced.”

ROSL Arts Competition

Voice recently competed in the Royal Over-Seas League Arts competition and were very pleased to get through to the semi final of the Ensemble B section. The final on Tuesday was a brilliant night of diverse music making, we recommend you go and see the winners’ concert at QEH on Tuesday 17th May.

Voice to receive support from PRSF for new composition

Voice are incredibly pleased to announce that they will be receiving funds from PRS for Music Foundation for a new collaborative composition with Ud player Khyam Allami ‘The Ziggurat Builders’ by composer Marcus Davidson to be performed throughout June 2011.
