Winners of Bush Bounce Brief
Voice are very pleased to be a winner of the Bush Bounce brief for their new commission project: Megaphones for the Unheard. Bush Bounce is a unique chance to work closely with Sabrina Mahfouz, an IdeasTap member and Associate Artist at the Bush Theatre, to create and present a project that can be showcased at an intimate, inspiring evening at the Bush.
Voice make their Royal Festival Hall Debut
Voice performed as part of Southbank Centre’s final night of Women of the World (WOW) festival last night in the Royal Festival Hall. ‘Mirth Control’ hosted by Sandi Toksvig was a wonderful, joyful evening of comedy and music which celebrated the lives and work of female composers and drew attention to the ingrained inequalities shared by millions of women across the world. Voice, supported by the Voicelab Choir led by Mary King, performed Hildegard of Bingen Medieval Chart ’O Choruscans Lux Stellarum’ transcribed and arranged by female composer and musician Stevie Wishart.
Voice recording
Voice will be recording a new CD of traditional early music from Europe and British folk song arrangments in November… more information to follow.
