In a musical world where genres and repertoires are readily pigeon-holed, Voice is refreshing for its keenness to avoid such barriers. It’s really good to be able to hear Hildegard von Bingen right alongside Balkan folk tunes and fresh-off-the-page commissions – all sung with distinctiveness of style, intriguing and convincing shifts of vocal timbre, and an appealing freshness of presentation.

I have had the privelege and joy of hearing Voice many times in very diverse settings. Each varied programme they produce is tailored perfectly to the event. I have heard these three beautiful voices fill a college chapel, a college dining hall full of diners, a community centre hall with rain lashing the roof and a noisy restaurant with their wonderful sound and energy. Their lively presence and range of songs lift everyone’s spirits.
